Thursday Three

Three (of the many) things I have found in the garbage can thanks to Blake. (the first two I didn't know were in there until I threw something away. The third I watched go in, but didn't get there in time to save it.) Maybe we set a bad example and he thinks the garbage is fun (click here and here.)

I love Blake.

I love church.

You want to know what I don't love? Blake and church together!! We are still 3 months away from nursery!! I hope we all survive. The only plus side is he does seem to entertain those that sit around him despite the fact that I am sweating by the time I am done wrestling him in the pew.

Once you pop....

A couple of days ago I found this really cute dessert blog. I couldn't stop thinking about this dessert so I made it yesterday for our Valentine's dessert. I am just going to say that were amazing. I think hers turned out a little better than mine when it comes to presentation, but I gave it my best shot. I have a few ideas for next time, and believe me, there will be a next time. I think I might try these next.

Three bad Valentine's Days (thursday three)

Matt and I don't have the best history of Valentine's Days. Here is a quick recap of our first 3 together.

Year 1 (dating) - Spent part of the night in the ER with my roommate Heidi (or was it Gina??) who was sick.

Year 2 (dating) - The restaurant where Matt made reservations changed the menu for that night making it way out of our price range so we left. Good luck trying to find a restaurant the night of Valentine's Day.

Year 3 (married) - Wait forever to eat Indian food (which turned out to be not that great) and then come home to a flooded toilet. Takes away the romance just a bit.

So after year 3 we just take it easy on Valentine's Day. Works for me!! Dinner at home and maybe a movie. Sounds perfect. Happy Valentine's Day Matt!

Bibs, we don't need no stinkin' bibs

My thought before feeding Blake lunch, "He doesn't need a bib. I am going to feed him his tortellini with red sauce (seriously Megan, red sauce = bib) with a fork. Green peas are not messy. How bad will this small strawberry be? How wet can his shirt get with his water?"

Well, after about 15 minutes, here is what Blake managed to do with his lunch. Love him. I am sure you are all thinking, just put the bib on. I normally do, but it was at the bottom of my freshly clean dishes on the drying rack. I really didn't want to dig it out. Anyone else feeling a little lazy?
Can you see the berries all over his pants. In my defense, we would have needed a body bib to have avoided that spill. How does he manage to get it all over his pants??
This was how I found Blake drinking his milk this morning.

On a different note, anyone watching Survivor this season. We just watched the first episode with some friends and loved it. I am excited about how it all plays out.

Are you being cute right now?

3 things I learned about Blake this week.
(Thursday Three)
1. He'll walk when he is ready to walk. And as it turns out, he was ready this week. Way to go Blake!!
2. He wishes I would let him play outside in the snow. As you can see, so do the neighbor kids.

3. A spoonful of ketchup helps the meals go down!
