Three bad Valentine's Days (thursday three)

Matt and I don't have the best history of Valentine's Days. Here is a quick recap of our first 3 together.

Year 1 (dating) - Spent part of the night in the ER with my roommate Heidi (or was it Gina??) who was sick.

Year 2 (dating) - The restaurant where Matt made reservations changed the menu for that night making it way out of our price range so we left. Good luck trying to find a restaurant the night of Valentine's Day.

Year 3 (married) - Wait forever to eat Indian food (which turned out to be not that great) and then come home to a flooded toilet. Takes away the romance just a bit.

So after year 3 we just take it easy on Valentine's Day. Works for me!! Dinner at home and maybe a movie. Sounds perfect. Happy Valentine's Day Matt!

this was hilarious ---- i agree -- i prefer valentines day dinner at home, away from all the crazy hub bub of the restaurant scene.....today i told chip what we are having boy/girl --- that was his fun surprise since he coulnd't come on tuesday to my apt. with me.

We had a streak of really bad New Year's Eves for a long time and finally, we don't. So maybe your luck with Valentine's Day will change too. Although the movie and staying in are always a delight.

You guys are SO cute!!! I hope you guys had a great Valentine's day. Those are the best Valentine dates-staying at home w/ dinner and movie.

that sounds somewhat similar to jud and i. year 1 we broke up a few days before and got back together a few days after. so we celebrated a little late (c: year 2 there was a lot of snow so we stayed in my apt all day instead of him getting to do what he planned. year 3, this year, we stayed low key. it was good.

glad you guys finally had a good valentines day!
