And your little Dog too!

I just took a trip home and had the best time. Blake loved my parents and would follow my dad around all over the house. My mom taught him to "show his muscles" and it is really funny when he does it. Blake enjoyed his cousins and you can see all the fun things we did HERE.

It's a Bird, It's a plane

Happy Halloween. Blake wore his costume all day and looked so cute (thanks Aunt Paige). He didn't enjoy the hood of the jacket very much and he was showing it when we took the picture. We had a fun Halloween party and we squeezed in 13 adults and 2 kids in our place for dinner and games. The other picture is from a cider mill we visited a few weeks ago.

I won't tell if you won't tell

So, I kind of reached a low point today. For the first week that we lived in our apartment I could not figure out this noise I would hear all day and even into the night. FINALLY, one day I looked out the window and figured out what it was. Stolen Grocery Carts. People bring the carts home from the Kroger and then just leave them in the apartment yard. People use them all the time and they make the most annoying noise as they are driven back and forth from the parking lot to people's apartments. I for one have never wanted to use them and am a little embarrassed when I see others using them.

Well today I did a major grocery shop. I had to shop for my Halloween party, play group tomorrow and pick up lots of other things after being gone for a week. I pride myself in making one trip from the car with Blake and my groceries despite how much I have. Today I just didn't have it in me. Can goods were on sale, so cut me a little slack. I went and found me a cart and gosh darn it, I LIKED IT!!

We took a day trip to Kirtland yesterday with some friends. I did not realize until we got there exactly how much church history happened in Kirtland. We spent the day seeing the sights and had a great time. We did have a few minor mishaps in the Newel K. Whitney store. Matt tried to put Blake on his shoulders only to hit Blake's head on the ceiling (during the tour I might add, not at all awkward). Then upstairs in Joseph Smith's office where there are signs posted all over to "Please Don't Touch", Blake places the death grip on one of the chairs in the display and won't let go and almost knocks it over. I think we made a lasting impression. It was so fun and here are some pictures to show you a few things.

Outside the store. A quick shout out to Matt's Grandparents who served a mission here.

Blake enjoying the car ride. He was a trooper.
Remember how I talked earlier about first impressions. Well, let's just say tonight was a bit of a rerun. We went to a BBQ with some LDS Business students and their families; all of whom I had never met. I made what I thought was a really good bean salsa. I didn't add the avocado or tomatoes (that is another story), but it is still good. I even bought the good lime chips to go with it. Well, another lady thought to make the same good salsa and she did add the tomatoes and avocado. Sweet! Mine looked like a pile of beans compared to hers. Then on our way out Matt says to me "you have something in your teeth!" WOW, I wonder how long that was there. I am just hoping it is my super fun personality that they remember. At least I have a cute baby.

Reunion

Six of my college roommates and I got together last week in Utah for a reunion. Steph, Gina, Christine, Anna and I met in the dorms (Chipman Hall, fall of '99) and then we met Heidi and Amy while living at Bountiful Court. We had the BEST time together. We ate at fun restaurants, had a dance party, went back to our old apartment, walked around BYU campus, hit the dollar movie, stayed up way too late talking, did a temple session, got pedicures, shopped, and laughed so hard. I really can't describe how much fun I had seeing my friends.
Thank you Matt for making it work so I could go. Thank you Grandma Sheri for coming to be with Blake while Matt was at school.

I enjoyed pushing Christine in the wheelchair. She is on some restrictions during this pregnancy, but she didn't let that slow her down.

Thursday Three - A day late
(I was early last week so I figure it all evens out)

3 Things that made me smile this week

1. My funny, funny cousin Greg

2. Playing with Blake who is now totally recovered from roseola and is back to his very happy self.

3. Having Matt home from school for a whole week!!

Thursday Three on Wednesday

3 Reason to love my little sister Meredith!

Meredith is super hip and always in the know. Here are a few things that I love about her unique style.

1. She is bringing back Raising the Roof. You better believe it. It is going to happen. She has quite the following too. Check out what she has to say about it
here!
2. She is trying to bring back "You Go Girl!". Notice here I said trying to bring it back. I am not sure this one will take as well as Raising the Roof. I give her props for trying though. I try to use it at least once a week in the correct setting.
3. She bought green jeans two weeks ago. YOU GO GIRL!! I don't think I could pull those off!

Can't wait to see you tomorrow, Little Mere.

Thursday Three
3 reasons why you should not throw a poopy diaper in with your laundry
(hypothetically speaking, of course)
1. It is totally unsanitary.
2. It takes twice as long to do laundry.
3. Your husband won't stop making fun of you.

Letters to Boys

Dear Matt,
One word for the next time you buy the toilet paper. Two-ply.
Love,
Megs
PS - is two-ply one word or two??

Dear Blake,
Please don't poop through your clothes one more time today.
Love you,
Mom
