Thursday Three

I thought today you could all get to know me better. Here are three weird things about me. I would like to be able to say they are quirky things, but in all honesty they are just weird!

1. I won't turn the radio volume to number 13 because it is unlucky.
2. I hate the sounds of anything wet hitting a garbage bag. (you know like when you wash your hands in a public restroom and the paper towel dispense is over the garbage and then little water droplets hit the bag. It drives me crazy!)
3. I have to check the front door multiple times to make sure it is locked. Sometimes I just have to stand there and look at it until I have convinced myself it is locked.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, but lucky for me I won't have to reveal them since it is Thursday Three not Thursday Thirty. Anyone else care to share something about them? You all know you have something!!

Here is Blake's latest accomplishment.

I don't blame you for making sure your door is locked. You wouldn't want the ghosts coming in an unlocking it like our door!!

Looks like Blake has tried that and failed a couple of times with those bruises. I can't believe how big he's getting! And i love that toy. I'm always wanting to play with it in the nursery!!

i do the same thing with having my door locked, and it's only gotten worse since living in the hood of south p-town. tom makes fun of me sometimes, but hey, it's so easy to do and makes me feel safe! i'm totally the type to splurge on a security system some day.

Thanks for sharing. That is funny about wet things hitting the garbage can. But i do the same thing with locking doors. They have to be locked!!

I still am careful not to step on cracks and I apoligize because I probably passed all my "weirdnesses" onto you. Now remember, I just passed on the weirdness, dad gave you the nerdiness!

Hmmm. There are a lot more things I can share about you from our roommate days. I won't, though, because I know you have a lot on me too! :) One of mine is that I never walk around barefoot - even inside. I hate being barefoot (plus it saves me the wrath of scorpions we sometimes find on our tile floor). I think it's from my mission days when our carpet was nasty.

I hate finishing off the end of a drink, I don't like eating the last bite of most things, and I always count stairs as I walk up them. But I'm not NEARLY as weird as you. J/K.

I remember you checking the door in apartment 17. And I think you even had to check it in multiples of three? maybe I'm adding undeserved weirdness to an already weird situation. Okay - mine is that I divide up my Reece's pieces by color and then eat one from each color pile until they're gone. Yep, weird.

Ok -- so i can appreciate you have a bathroom thing --- i have something totally quirky -- when using a public restroom, i ALWAYS have to unwind the toilet paper at least twice around so that i won't be using a square that someone else might have touched with dirty hands! weird, and a waste of toilet paper maybe? but i feel a lot cleaner!!!!
love the thursday threes!!!

I'm not making this up, ever since spending the evening at your house a few weeks ago, Kody is very aware of whether the door is locked or not.

i'm pretty much with you on the door locking thing. i lock the door (front door or car door) and still have to pull on it to make sure i did it. and i NEVER think i turned off my flat iron in the morning. i can't tell you how many times i walk out the door then walk back to the room just to check and see it's off. sometimes i sing a song about turning it off so that i will remember that i did...i think that one wins in weirdness.

I also have a locked door issue, I have to try and open the door to make sure that it is truly locked. Ben teases me about it but it helps me to sleep better at night! I also have a weird stair thing like Amy I count them and I know how many stairs are in each flight that I frequently walk on.

Thanks for the shout out! Yeah, Ryan and I figured out that I knew you and Matt right when we first met. He lived in the BC after I moved out. I'm just getting into the blogging bit, it's way fun. Hope things are good with you. You can take some of our Arizona heat, I'm just about done and it's not even really hot yet!

Funny. You know there is medication for the "door checking" thing? :) Something weird about me... hmmm...I sleep with socks on most of the time and it drives Greg crazy.
