Tonight at book club a girl was recommending a book for an upcoming month entitled, Pope Joan. She starts describing it and I look at her and say, "is it non-fiction?"
Yeah Megan, it is non-fiction. You remember Pope Joan, right?? Ladies if you were there last night, forgive me. I promise to bring more to the table next time. It has been a long couple of days, but I do have more to offer. Well, at least I will have good treats to offer.

hey - i don't know who she is either...i am with you for just providing the treats
LOL, that's hilarious. Don't worry. We all have our moments.
Well, I still have no idea who Pope Joan is. Are they talking about Joan of Arc? If so, why not just call her that? Maybe I'm glad I didn't go last night!
No idea who that is! Sorry you felt dumb. I would have been right there with you in ignorance!
haha. I love that you blogged about that. Okay, I have to admit that I sort of smiled when you said that, but mostly with the thought that, hey I'm glad other people are just like me. I can't count the number of times I've said things that don't quite add up when I think about them later.
My biggest fault is when I meet other people and their kids and the conversation goes:
Me: Oh, how old is he? 7?
Mom: Oh, no. He actually just turned 3.
Me: [digging to save face] Oh...yeah, well, he's tall for his age, huh?
Mom: Actually, he's the shortest one in his preschool.
Me: Oh. Okay, well, you know, I don't have kids, so...
nye.
lol. you crack me up megs. don't worry whatever you're bringing to the table is probably something i didn't even bring to the door.
